Last year saw TreeHugger introduce their Best of Green Awards.  The winners for Best of Green 2010 have been announced, with makedo taking one of the honours as Best Industrial Design or Design Idea.   Public voting then followed for over 200 products, concepts and ideas across eight wildly varied categories.

Thanks to your votes, makedo also received the Reader’s Choice Award as the Best Industrial Design or Design Idea.  Treehugger editor Lloyd Alter wrapped up his commentary on makedo with the following declaration:

In retrospect, I am reconsidering my Editor’s Choice.
